A commonly talked about topic is peace. Or rather, the lack of. Exterior peace is focused on so much –  but, what about inner peace?

Today, March 21st, is International Inner Peace Day, a day dedicated towards recognizing and further working towards peaceful coexistence, both with ourselves and with each other.

Despite what you may think, Inner Peace isn’t just about doing yoga and mediating (though that can certainly be part of it). Celebrating Inner Peace means celebrating what makes you unique, and doing things that make you feel peaceful and happy. At the end of the day, the only person you need to please is yourself; so, spend your time doing what you love!

All of these things relate back to the idea of Inner Peace. If you feel peaceful, and are happy with yourself, then not only will you be an inspiration to others, but your ideals will radiate out from you, even without you realizing it. Ever heard of the ripple effect? Think of yourself as the centre; the rock thrown in the water, the first domino in a long chain. Because of the choices and actions that you make, the rest of the ripples (or dominios!) will be affected.

Make it a positive ripple. Pay it forward, and above all today, be peaceful.
