About sherinaspeaks

Hey there! My name is Sherina. I started this blog in 2013 as part of a project for my high school English class. I kept blogging when the semester was over and, almost five years later, I’m still here! Sherinaspeaks is a place where I write about politics, news, media and anything else that crosses my mind.

I’m currently studying journalism in university. In addition to reporting, I love writing fiction. When I’m not writing (in very rare circumstances), you can find me baking cookies, playing piano, reading about politics or laughing at my own jokes.

I’m a self-proclaimed optimist, so I’m always looking on the bright side. I try to reflect that in my blog posts about things that inspire me or lessons I’ve learned. My blog has evolved with my life—since entering journalism school, I’ve started writing more media critiques and pieces about the journalism industry.

One of my favourite things about blogging is connecting with other people and joining an online community. Leave a comment, follow me or drop me an email—I’d love to chat!

Thank you to the amazing Nicole Fratesi for designing my logos!

  5. Hey Sherina! listen, there was something wrong with my blog these past few days, could you check if you are able to view the blog and the posts?

      1. That’s okay! I am still following you because I think while you changed your title and theme and such, your blog following stayed the same (if that makes sense?) 🙂

      2. Are you sure? Because some of my other followers weren’t able to view the blog until they followed the one with the new url.

  6. I see you are a very popular and much celebrated blogger. Well-deserved I say. Continue to be a shining example to other teenagers and keep up the excellent work!
